It’s been a while but I’m back in business… And today, I thought I’d share the little ways I make my things my own- customising I guess you’d say.
These stickers cover my old, slightly battered iPod, and they come from random sticker packs I impulsively buy!
If you remember a few months ago, I made a DIY vid for this tassel garland. Since then, it has made a good addition to my bookshelves, adding some colour and texture.
This one took ribbon, lots of sticky tape, pegs and my favourite photos/cut-outs!! It was very trial and error but it looks great and it works as a notice board as well as a photo strip.
On the left are frames painted in the colours my walls were when I first had my room decorated- they have faded with age and the sunlight that streams in to my room. The purple frames hold disposables of sunsets, and the peachy pink frame homes pressed blossom.
On the right, you can see my incredibly messily painted shelf unit. I got this vintage piece and decided to paint the top of each shelf. I just used a paint tester pot, back from when I was planning my redecorating!
I am probably the last person to jump on the patches trend but here it is! This iron-on patch came from H&M (E for Elizabeth, in a very ‘Life of Pablo’ font) and is on the back pocket of Topshop Mom Jeans. I ironed it on, and for extra certainty, I used white cotton and stitched around the edge of the patch. I have a couple more patches from Lush (who’d have thought it…) that I think I’ll add to old backpacks or maybe my denim jacket.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back next week with more mad ramblings!
Till next time…
